The owners of this wonderful property in Henley on Thames have completely overhauled what was a typical 1970’s property.
After extensive exterior renovation; This Artful Life were bought on board during the construction process.
With only a few internal walls to work with, Emma helped the clients visualise how they would live in these spaces.
The clients' brief was a light airy space with a layout that flowed seamlessly while retaining character in each space.
A focus on using the highest quality materials, excellent craftsmanship and a timeless but contemporary colour scheme has been achieved throughout the property,
With the building and decorating now complete; it was a pleasure to revisit the clients with Yolande & Alex from Back to Front Exterior Design to see the progress made so far. I am very excited to start the second phase for furnishing, accessorising and dressing the spaces to complete this wonderful family home.

One of the most exciting parts of this project has been designing for the different needs of family members. The clients' mothers both live at the property. One mother living independently in a self contained annexe & the other other mother requiring more accessibility and physical care. The design for this space had to allow for wheelchair turning and full accessibility. The brief was to also utilise the furniture design classics which have been collected over a lifetime.
